The Book of Eli
Jan. 16th, 2010 10:22 pmSo, went and saw The Book of Eli, and am a bit discombobulated. The movie felt like it was intended to be a "message movie," but it just doesn't have that strong a punch. Denzel Washington is a bit bland as the lead and I kept staring at Mila Kunis, wondering how someone raised in a post-apocalyptic setting could be that stupid? Gary Oldman as the villain was okay. Overall, the movie was fairly generic.
On the Melworks Scale of Movie Love, I give The Book of Eli a three. If you want to see this movie, just wait for it to come out on DVD or Pay-per-View. Because, honestly, it's just not worth paying $7 to catch it at a matinee.
