1. What's the worst experience you've ever had while traveling?
That would be the last time that I flew. I was returning from Las Vegas to Anchorage and my plane hit heavy turbulance. We were bouncing around inside the cabin like Mexican jumping beans. I honestly thought that I was going to die and made a deal with God that if he got me down on the ground safe and sound, that I would never fly again if it wasn't a matter of life and death. God held up his end of the bargain and, so far, I've held up mine.
2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I honestly have no idea. I don't really remember wanting to be anything when I was a kid. Not a fireman or a policeman or anything like that. It wasn't until much later that I thought it might be cool to make stuff up for a living. Now, a mere twentysomething years later, I'm actually trying to make that happen.
3. If you could magically pass a new Federal law, what would it be?
That persons convicted of a second violent offense (assault, rape, etc.) be executed. I am not joking. I know that saying this will make me sound like a whack job but I sincerely believe it would curtail a great deal of crime in this country.
4. Name a book you'd love to see made into a movie.
Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing the Nightside books made into a movie. Or a series of movies. I think that would totally work. Although I have no idea who to cast in the main roles.
5. Do you (or did you ever) believe in True Love.
This will come as a complete shock but I do believe in True Love. After all, it would have to be true love to get me to propose to someone. Wouldn't it?
6. If you could have your druthers (or, if you like, a nifty time machine), what era will you or would you have liked to live in?
The future, Post-Singularity, when the AIs have shuffled off into the 7th Dimension, technology is indistinguishable from magic and humanity lives in a utopian anarchist paradise.
7. If care/money/laws were no object, what type of pet would you like to have?
I'm not really a pet person. Sorry.
