Internet Blues
So, a few days ago my internet security software went bugshit crazy. I started getting a firewall warning every two minutes about TCP this and port that. After poking around a bit, I discovered this was a fairly common occurrance, but that the near constant freqeuncy of it that I was experiencing was odd.
So, yesterday I contacted my ISP and spoke to one of their tech guys. Because, maybe a firewall update was making the firewall react erroneously to normal network activity re my ISP. Or maybe some meatspace fucker was trying to hack my system.
Dunno.
Fired off the e-mail to my ISP with the text of the warning message and waited for a reply.
Got one this morning, asking me to do highly technical things with my internet security and email the stuff to them.
My reaction has been of the "Duh-wha?" variety.
Still waiting on a response to my latest e-mail to them, but am not holding out much hope.
Ah, Internet! How you abuse me!
