Even though I'm not working there, the Job of Doom can still make me crazy.

This morning I got an automated e-mail, advising me that my application to the local branch of the Job of Doom, will not be forwarded to the hiring person. Apparently, I'm 'qualified' but not 'best qualified.'
This, dear friends, is a load of balls.
Great big hairy balls.
God's balls, if you will.
The position is the same one I used to occupy in Alaska.  How the hell am I not 'best qualified' for it???
I'm tempted to contact the HR Department and ask them why they don't consider me 'best qualified' for this position.  What exactly do they consider to be the best qualifications for the position?  I'd do it, but it would be pointless and a waste of time.  They wouldn't respond and, in the meantime, I'd just be stewing in my own bile.
Honestly, just between y'all and me, I don't really want to go back to work for the Job of Doom.
I'm just sort of pissed at the whole 'best qualified' vs. 'qualified' thing.
More later. - MEL
