Birthday
Today was my birthday and it was a miserable day. Gray skies, rain, wind, a statewide tornado watch. When I got up and walked outside, I found a giant tree limb down right outside the back door.
I was going to go out and treat myself to lunch, maybe a movie and a birthday present, but that didn't happen. I stayed home, except to go to the grocery store and buy some champage and food for supper.
Jorg surprised me. He came by and dropped off a cake. It was very sweet of him, especially since I was feeling so crappy because of the weather ruining my plans.
Tomorrow,I have to go down to my Mom's to check on her. She said that an old dogwood tree in the front yard had blown down, so I'm going to go and see what I can do to help clean it up. Also, I want to check on the status of the trees in the backyard and see if they're doing okay.
And, tomorrow, I am officially back on my 'diet.' It's been two weeks or so since I declared a holiday and, to be honest, I've felt like shit most of the time. I look forward to going back to eating sauteed lettuce with scrambled eggs and toast. LOL.

Lord, where did the time go? I feel like, only yesterday, I was 18.
