Limbo

Ugh.

I hate being in Limbo.

I figure I've got until May before I can really seriously look for a new place. I've been doing some preliminary research, and, gentle friends, it does not look great. A basic apartment in my locale costs about $835 a month. That may or may not include some utilities.

There is greater range in the price of houseshares. Ignoring the sketchy ones who offer weekly rents, monthly rents can range from $300 to $800. Houseshares, however, generally include the utilities.

I figure that I'll be making about $1200 after everything kicks over in June, so if I get a houseshare or apartment I'm looking at it taking over half of my salary. That's ridiculous.

On the other hand, if I do the carlife thing the only expenses I'd have would be ordinary car upkeep, my cellphone bill and, MAYBE, some storage rental fees. That is, if I don't start just throwing everything out. The only piece of furniture that I would really like to keep would be my bed. It's a very nice bed.

And, finally, if I have to go back to living with my family. *shudder* I wouldn't have anything to pay but cellphone and car upkeep. But that is really aggravating and, to be honest, my last choice.

But it's hard to do anything at all like this until I have a more concrete timeline.
