So, it's the last night of my vacation and it has started to snow. The newspaper reports that we can expect between one and two inches of the white stuff this evening, which means it's time to say goodbye to the earth for at least six months. Goodbye dead grass! Goodbye unswept gravel! Goodbye! Goodbye! We'll see you all again this coming spring.
On an unrelated note to the weather, I have been cleaning my bathroom. I've scrubbed out the tub and even tackled the toilet. Technically, I should have done this before Halloween, for Fall, but since the repairs to the Dire Bath prevented me from doing it, I'm at it now. So, officially, I've cleaned the bathroom for the Winter. Hurrah! I won't pick up the scrub brush again until Spring.
And before you all go "Eewwww!" let me remind you that I live alone and am not a particularly messy person. Honestly, I could have gotten by without scrubbing the toilet, but when I do the bath I feel compelled to do the toilet as well. Otherwise one is clean while the other isn't and I feel grimy by association.
And tomorrow, tomorrow I go back to the Job of Doom.
Wish me luck, my lovelies.
More later. - MEL
