So, I'm back at the Job of Doom, working solo and, to be quite honest, glad to be doing so. Coworker Lucy is nice, but there's not enough work on the shift for two people and you can only quiz somebody about office protocol for so long before you want to run screaming down the hallways.
So, I'm back to working solo and generally lazing about the Office of Solitude. This morning I listened to The Chart Show on Radio One and have caught up with episodes of Bones and Fringe. And I have to admit to being tempted to write a crossover of the two shows, just because I'd love to see the interaction between Bones and Walter Bishop.
Not a lot else going on. Am considering another flashfiction marathon for November, or maybe the New Year. I haven't decided. Was going through some old files the other night and am tempted to get back to world building and, possibly, the Trek series I abandoned about six months ago. An original Trek series, mind you, not New!Trek.
On the reading front, I read Neil Gaiman's Odd and the Frost Giants last night. Charming little story and it makes me want to pull out my dogeared copy of Neverwhere and reread it.
Okay. Off now to find something to amuse me for the next three hours.
Hope everyone's having a fine weekend.
More later! - MEL
