The closing looks like it's going to happen on the 9th. I've had electricians out giving me estimates on a new switchbox and a roofer out to give me an estimate on repairing the dry rot in the attic. Finally wrangled a letter of committment from my HOA re said roof repairs. My realtor is really getting on my nerves now. Also, found out the closing is on the 9th, not the 11th as I thought. Pheh. So next week is going to be nuts.

The home inspection was this past Friday and my realtor dropped off a copy of the findings with me today. We're going to go over them this Tuesday.
After reading through them, I'm left going shaking my head.
I know that the home inspector's job is to look for flaws, but noting shit like, "Dishwasher door is not connected to unit by springs" and "Cold water pressure is low in the half-bath" just seems petty as fuck to me.
I'd forgotten how big a pain in the ass selling a house could be.
Pheh.

"Have you taken care of that bathroom ceiling?" my realtor asked, this afternoon.
I'd popped into his office to sign some more paperwork.
"Well, I patched the bald spot and I'm looking for an off-white paint to paint the area around it."
When I bought my place, the second bathroom's ceiling had a bald spot and some discoloration from old water damage. During my entire time here, I've never had any problem with leaks in that ceiling. But, the bald spot was very noticeable.
So I got some ceiling texture and covered up the bald spot. Then, today, I went and got some off-white spray-on sealant, hoping to cover up the discoloration.
Yeah, that didn't work so well.
The sealant stank. I mean, seriously. I thought I was going to puke.
So I said fuck it and called a local painter guy to scrape the popcorn and paint the ceiling. He's coming by this Thursdays *fingers crossed* to give me an estimate. Over the phone, he said it would probably cost about $200 to $300 bucks.
It's not ideal.
I don't want to spend the money, but it's probably for the best.
And I console myself with the knowledge that once this place is gone, I won't have to worry about shit like this again for a long, long while.

So, my house went active on MLS this past Monday.
I had a showing that same day.
This past Thursday I got an offer.
Friday night, I signed a contract.
Unless something major happens, it looks like I'll be closing in early March.
How's that for a fast sale?

So, January.
I turned a year older and decided it was time to sell my condo.
My listing went active on MLS on Monday. I already have a showing scheduled for tomorrow.
So, that's good.
I guess.
