It's Christmas Day and, here in Anchorage, it is unseasonably warm. I just walked out to the dumpster to throw away some Christmas trash and didn't even need to put on a coat. It must be in the upper thirties!
So far, my day has been good. I called my Mom who has had a very merry Christmas on account of three bottles of wine and a humorous incident involving her friend Donna, falling down in the yard and rolling around "like a big ol' watermelon."
Now, I'm cooking dinner. Salisbury steaks with gravy, sweet baby corn and steamed brocoli drizzled with melted cheese.
Yeah, I know. I'm actually cooking!
It must be a Christmas Miracle!
Of course, it'll be a bigger miracle if any of the food is actually edible. :P
Anywho, hope all of you out there in the blogosphere are having a good day.
Merry Christmas from the Last Frontier! - xoxo MEL
