About a week ago, I started a blog over on blogger for my family. I'd gotten this insane email from my mom that just really pushed my buttons, prompting me to start this second blog so the folks back home would have a sense of what I was up to. And, most importantly, let them know that I AM NOT DEAD.
So, I create the blog, make a post, send my family the web address and wait for them to respond.
And I get nothing.
That sound you hear? It's the sound of tumbleweeds blowing through the Family Blog.
They've had a week and nothing so far.
So, last night I email them and ask, point blank, are you checking the blog.
Do I get a response?
No.
Nada.
Bupkiss.
So now I'm not posting anything there until they contact me. And maybe not even then.
I mean, what's the fucking point of posting to said blog if no one is going to read it?
And people wonder why I wait YEARS between visiting my family.
Because they make me insane, people!
They make me insane!
