So, I just got back from watching Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
Now, bearing in mind that I loathe the original source material, I have to admit that this movie felt a bit flat for me.  The characters felt off and the storyline was completely predictable.  You know, in the first ten minutes, exactly what's going to happen.  Of course, that's true for most movies these days, but at least the ride can be a bit more enjoyable.  I didn't see the 3D version of the movie, but its obvious that Disney is pandering to the 3D audience through many of the action sequences.  The one character in the movie that I really enjoyed was the Cheshire Cat.  The rest? Eh. I could take or leave.
So, the end result?  On the Melworks Scale of Movie Love, I give Alice in Wonderland a rousing 4 out of 10.  It wouldn't be my first choice as a movie recommendation, but if there's nothing else on that you absolutely must see, there are worse ways to spend a couple of hours.
