So, the Winter Solstice is here, Thank God, and now we'll start to gain some light back. I know that that doesn't sound like a big deal to most of you, tucked away in the Lower 48 or where ever, but it's a very big deal up here.
This year, I think Seasonal Affective Disorder has hit me harder than usual. Maybe it's that and a combination of post-work burnout/depression, but all I seem to be doing these days is sleeping. My schedule is completely screwed up.
For example, I didn't go to bed until around 7:00 this morning and I just woke up an hour ago.
Yeah, you read that right. My day started at 3:00 PM.
How screwed up/wonderful is that?
So, with the Solstice come, I'm looking forward to getting back to a decent sleep schedule and getting up at, say, noonish?
Cause, really, even for me, getting up at 3:00 is a bit much.
Oh. And I totally forgot about the lunar eclipse last night, but since it's been so cloudy I doubt I would have seen it anyway.
Happy Solstice everybody! - MEL
