Tech from the Heat Place did not show up by 11:00 so I said fuck it and called another contractor. They said they could do the work and would send someone out today. After hearing this miraculous news, I called the Heat Place and cancelled my appointment with them. I didn't give a reason, and was, I think, fairly polite when I spoke to their receptionist. Polite, but brusque.
Hoping to get this damn situation resolved before the end of the week!
