At the movies :)
Dec. 22nd, 2008 07:18 pmWent and saw Yesman this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Jim Cary's style of comedy is kind of hit or miss with your's truly, but he was pretty decent in this one. On the Melworks Scale of Movie Love, I'd give it a 4 out of 10; pretty typical movie, but I don't think I'd pay full prices to see it and I have no real desire to see it again.
Also, rented some vids this weekend: Hancock and Hellboy: The Golden Army. Hancock was okay, but I'm glad I didn't go see it in the theater. It's totally a wait-for-video movie and Will Smith is way too emo in it for his own good. Hellboy 2 was okay, but I think it worked better as a big screen feature than on the television. Also, I'm one of those people who think they moved too far away from the tone of the first movie with this sequel, but it was still enjoyable even if the whole Hellboy/Liz storyline sets my teeth on edge.
