The last few days it's been over 100 degrees in the shade.
Ladies and gentlemen, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm missing Alaska. Particularly, the Alaska summer where it hardly got hotter than 80 degrees.
That said, you won't get me back to Alaska without dynamite and/or threats of bodily harm to my loved ones. And even then I'd be willing to sacrifice a family member or two.
In other news, the new month means that my Amazon sales reports has regenerated. It's a bit dispiriting to check your numbers and go from over 1000+ downloads total to nada.
That's okay. I'm pimping the hell out of my book again this coming weekend. This time, it's got some great reviews so am hoping those will generate additional sales.
The new domestic situation is interesting. Did I tell y'all about that? I moved out last month and am renting a room in a very nice house in Columbia. The landlords are a younger couple with a two-year-old, a newborn and a small dog.
Yes, I am living with children and a small dog.
That said, they don't really bother me.
And the location makes up for any annoyances, since I'm within spitting distance of actual, real shopping. Not just a Piggly Wiggly and a Dollar General.
Also, I'm 7000 words into my Sequal. Woohoo!
