Shopping for Birthday Presents

My roommate has a birthday this Friday and I've been trying to think of a nice, practical present that I can give him.
After some thought, I've decided to head over to Michael's and see what sort of shadow boxes they have for sale. Jorg is a bughunter and he can pin/display his kills in the shadow box. I'm just hoping the boxes they have aren't too frilly or anything. Cause that would not work. I suppose if I find something like that I could paint it? I don't know.
Shopping for Jorg is hard. I can't buy him music because he's a musical snob. I can't buy him books because he doesn't have time to read these days and I don't think he'd like books-on-cd. He is a drummer and I thought about buying him some sticks, but I don't know enough about it to make an effective purchase. And I'm not giving anything as soulless as a gift card.
So, the shadow box is my best bet, I think. He's a virgo, so even if he doesn't like the actual box he'll probably appreciate the thought that went into buying it.

2400 Cals

Back home from my shopping expedition where a birthday present was acquired PLUS brand NEW SHOES! Hurrah!

Also, I've had lunch: sauasages, cole slaw and a vanilla frappuccino. That's about 1800 cals.

The weird thing is that I've got about 3200 cals left from the week.

So, I may go out later and get something else? Maybe?

Don't know. We shall see.

UPDATE!
Just got back from the corner store, Klattu-Barada-Nicto. Got a chance to test out my new boots (which I'm very satisfied with!) and bought myself a lemonade tea and an iced honey bun. That pushes me up to 2400 cals for the day, but since I had about 4300 cals I could have spent today, I'm pretty good with that number. :)
