So, what's been going on with my life?
Well, I've sold some books on Amazon (Yay!) and, tomorrow, I'm moving into a houseshare with some young people, their offspring and another renter(Yay?).
I'm a little nervous about moving into this new place. It's been years since I lived with strangers. These people seem very nice but also Very Young. They're in the mid-to-late twenties and I'm in my forties. They have a 2-year-old boychild and are expecting a second child any day now. I am single. So single. With no children that I know about.
Also, I will be working from home, so I will be there constantly. Constantly. In a room that will be furnished with an air mattress, and, eventually, some crap from Pier 1.
Good Lord. It's like I'm 21 all over again.
Applied for a job, at Books-a-Million, and sort of hope that comes through, but sort of hope it doesn't. Could use the money, but BaM's reviews as a workplace are decidedly mixed.
Also, I will be living in a real city. Which means, real possibilities for entertainment.
Crap. I can feel my bank account bleeding money now.
Double crap.
Maybe I'll get that sweet fedjob I applied for last week in North Carolina.
We live in hope, I guess.
More later. - MEL
