So, I took a break from my gaming group this summer, 'cause the other players were starting to get on my nerves. But tonight I returned.

I kind of wish that I hadn't.

The night was okay until we started playing Risk. I was out first, followed by P. The other four players continued to play.

Now, P is bipolar and can be a bit sensitive if dogpiled on with teasing. We all know this, but people still tend to do it. But if he gets mad he just gets up and walks away from the table for a little while, then returns. No one makes a fuss.

In my absence, our friend G brought her son, H, to the group. H is a 20something guy. One of the others described him as 'sassy.'

Well, P got tired of H's sass this evening and told him to get out of his house. So, H packs his stuff and he and G leave.

The general concensus at the table was that P didn't do anything wrong as H's "sass" had crossed a line to rudeness. He's one of these people who can dish it out but not take it, apparently.

So, the night ended on an awkward and uncomfortable note.

Honestly, I sort of wish I hadn't gone back tonight. I like the people in the group, but I hate how they get when they play games together. Honestly, they turn into assholes.

I hope this doesn't mess things up between G and P. I don't think it will, but familial bonds are tricky. Also, I have a very selfish reason for hoping they do better: if G bails on P, then he'll be calling me, asking me for more help.

I don't know. We'll have to see how things shake out later this week.

At least the night wasn't boring.
