I picked up this book on a whim the other day and have been pleasantly surprised by it. Normally, I avoid those hardbound BBC books because, really, who wants to pay $12 for what amounts to a paperback? But then I sat down with this one in the store and it was kind of funny in an offbeat sort of way and the next thing I know I'm three chapters in and have decided to buy it.
Nearly Perfect is set after the end of Season Two, so the team consists of only Capt. Jack, Ianto and Gwen.
The premise of the book can be summed up in one sentence: Ianto Jones wakes up one morning as a woman and Torchwood has to figure out what the hell happened.
Now, doesn't that get you interested?
Best bit in the book?
Ianto: "Honestly, I don't know what happened. I woke up and except for a disturbing lack of cock I felt fine!"
Capt. Jack: "And haven't we all felt like that one time or another."
