And, lo, a new year of Healthy Living has begun! :P

So, I'm making changes to my diet lifestyle. I've decided to make Wednesday a Free Day as well as Tuesday.
Why?
Well, eventually I want to be able to discontinue counting calories. Last year, I stopped counting cals for a week and went totally off the rails. It was scary the amount of crap that I ate, even though I was not hungry. It was a learning lesson.
So, this year, I've decided to ease into a relaxed healthy lifestyle. This year I will expand my Free Days, slowly. If they work. If they don't, I'll say fuck it and only do Free Days on holidays/special event days and acknowledge that I will never NOT be able to count calories and live a normal dietary life.
But I'm hopeful that I can ease into a more normal healthy lifestyle through this method.
We shall find out.
So, this week, I shall be dieting for only 4 days, though, as my birthday is this weekend. I'm turning 51, a sort of 'meh' number, until you think of all the people who never made it that far. I don't know what I'm doing on my birthday, but I'm giving it some thought. I really am.
I suppose wine will be involved in some fashion.
In other news, I am blogging every day on the Other Blog. Today, I wrote a short bit inspired by the movie, Nomadlife. I watched it last night, or tried to, but despite rave reviews and the presence of Frances Dorman, I could not make it through. It was just DEADLY DULL. :(
But, hey! It inspired some writing, so I suppose that's a good thing. :)
