So, Jorg was going to see The Rolliing Stones tonight and asked me to come in and cover the store for a couple of hours. I was happy to do it. Knowing I'd have Shadowpup with me, I decided to hit the market early and picked up supper: a 4-cheese pizza, a protein shake and some donut sticks. (I have GOT to stop eating donut sticks; they're too damn deliciously bad for me.)
The store was sort of meh. All of September has been kind of meh and I have absolutely no idea what October will be like. We'll be fighting for dollars with two locals shows, a show in a nearby town, the state fair and, possibly, an annual restaurant thing.
After work, I came home and played with Shadowpup. He gets very neurotic when he's left alone for too long, so we've been spending a lot of quality time together tonight.
I ate the pizza, which may have been a mistake.
And, as it turns out, Jorg left the concert because no one was wearing a mask and he'd rather miss the Rolling Stones than risk getting covid.
I can understand his thinking, but I'm a bit disappointed for him. He was really looking forward to this concert.
Personally, I'm past the whole need/desire to go to live shows. It's too expensive, too loud and not worth the money. The only concerts I would go to at this point in my life would be the B-52s and, possibly, Nightwish.
And now I'm sitting here at the kitchen table, kind of bored, and contemplating calling it an early night because there's absolutely nothing that I want to watch.
