So, the jury experience was weird.
On Monday, I showed up for jury selection but because of administrative weirdness and a smallish juror pool, we wound up being sent to the second courtroom where a civil trial was going to be conducted. Jurors were selected from the group and the rest of us were sent back upstairs where another jury would be selected. However, that didn't happen and the judge sent us home for the day.
Went back in this morning, where the jury and an alternate juror were selected after many questions from the judge and attorneys. I was not selected. Hurrah!
So, I went out and had lunch at the British Bulldog, then rewarded myself with the purchase of a new rpg setting book, and then came home and am currently doing laundry and half-listening to Kieron Gillen's latest playtest of Die: The RPG.
Later, there may be wine.
And possibly cake.
We shall see.
