Seen a few movies lately, so here are three flash movie reviews from yours truly.

Zombieland.
Not a bad movie, but not the greatest thing since sliced bread either. On the Melworks Scale of Movie Love, I'd give Zombieland a solid five. It's well worth the price to catch it after matinees and would probably be a pretty decent date movie, as long as you don't plan on eating. A bit heavy on the gore at times, but not too heavy. The bit with Bill Murry is the best.

Whip It.
This movie is Drew Barrymore's directorial debut. It stars Ellen Page from Juno as a reluctant beauty queen contestant who falls in love with roller derby. This movie should never have been made for the big screen. It has Lifetime Movie written all over it. On the Melworks Scale of Movie Love, I'd give Whip It, a two. Wait for it to come out on cable television.

The Invention of Lying.
Given the creative talent behind this movie, you'd think it would be a lot funnier than it actually was. Disappointing and flat out dull at times, the execution of the whole conceit, of a world where people can't lie, is poorly executed. Skip the movie, skip the video, skip it when it comes to television. On the Melworks Scales of Movie Love, I give The Invention of Lying zero out of 10. Completely awful.
