Livejournal is really starting to piss me off with their current marketing strategy.
I have no problem with them plastering static advertisements between posts on my journal, or on the sidebar. But I find it irritating, whenever I sign in on the main journal page, to have my screen hijacked so they can run a popup ad from a sponsor. And then, when the ad finishes, half the time I have to refresh the screen to be able to access any of the site features, like say, posting!
I shouldn't complain about this. I use Livejournal for free and, well, you get what you pay for. But the popup ads aren't making me want to buy a paid account and they don't make me want to use whatever goods and/or services are being advertised.
They make me want to flee to Blogger.
More later.
