I have a front bedroom that has remained largely unused and completely unfurnished since moving into my condo three years ago.
Finally, I decided to do something about it. I could not take another moment of staring at the white-as-paste walls and the tacky shag carpeting. So, this past weekend, I hired the carpenter husband of Friend Jan to do some work on it. Paint, mostly, and replacing the trim around the door and along the baseboard.
Friend Jan's husband came out this past Sunday and gave me a very good estimate on cost and time. He started work yesterday and has already painted the entire room. Today, he comes back to replace the wooden trim along the baseboard and around the door.
I am extremely pleased.
After all the painting and woodwork is done, I just need to replace the carpeting and the overhaul of the room will be finished.
And I'll have to think of something to actually DO with the room.
Any suggestions, people?
And, no, I am not going to turn it into a sex-dungeon.
