So, four months since I left the Job of Doom, and about a month since I started looking for something part-time. Today, I registered with the state job network and filled out an online application for another bookstore. The application was hella long, yo! It took me about two hours to do it and when I was finished I discovered it hadn't uploaded my freakin' resume. Apparently, once submitted, the application cannot be edited, but I can reapply.
Um.
Yeah, like that's going to happen.
Haven't written a thing today, which makes me feel bad.
And I totally need to go grocery shopping. The only thing I've got in the house is a single slice of semi-frozen pizza and two bottles of soda.
And I've found a good cure for the blahs is - Wait for it! Wait for it! - listening to Dinsey soundtracks.
Yeah. So, let the teasing commence.
Not much else going on.
Did have a second story accepted at 365tomorrows. Am thinking of submitting another story to F&SF Magazine.
I seem to do much better with short stories than novels. The Dreaded Mystery is pretty much dead in the water. May rework it as a short story. I think it'll actually work better that way, but the thought of starting over again just really pisses me off.
That's it for me.
More later! - MEL
