The Market Research Place called and offered me a gig this weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We're doing a three minute survey on charitable contributions. It crosses over into next week, too, depending on how many responses we get.
Joy.
I am gainfully employed.
In other, nonjob related areas, winter has arrived. We have snow on the ground, and the Anchorage Bowl has once more been transformed into a dirty-flavored slushy. Thank God I don't have to get out in that.
I've applied at a couple of other places around town. Part-time stuff, mostly. I only got a single callback which is really irritating. That's the one thing I hate about job searching on the net. The lack of any definite response to your inquiry. Did I get the job? Was I at least considered? Hello? *cue echo-chamber effect*
Eh. Whatever.
I'm still banging away on the writing, but I've had to set aside the mystery I was working on because it just wasn't going anywhere. I'll get back to it one day, but right now I'm just writing whatever the hell I feel like. Still waiting to hear from the boys at SF&F Magazine about my submissions to them, but they said it could take up to four months.
And that's pretty much were I am right now.
