I've been invited to a Christmas party at the Market Research Place this Wednesday night. At the time of the invite I said I'd go, but now I'm having second thoughts. To put it bluntly, I'm just not in the mood. The holiday season just isn't really happening for your's truly, and, to be honest, it never really does. I don't start to feel Christmassy until January, when I walk around, singing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland." Don't ask me why.
In other, non-Holiday related news, I applied for a job at our local NBC affiliate. I doubt if I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting it, but I figure nothing ventured, nothing gained. It's basically doing admin processing in the sales department. Think Baily Rivers from WKRP in Cincinatti and you'll have an idea what the job is like. Only, hopefully the on-air talent won't be as wasted.
More later. - MEL
