So, I've been keeping in touch with folks at the old Job of Doom, and it seems I really did get out while the getting was good. Since the beginning of the year, they've been plagued by a couple of deaths, a boomerang flu that keeps making the rounds, a lot of transfers, one person has broken her ankle, another has had her cancer reappear and gotten a fatal prognosis, they've just eliminated flexshifts and there is talk of instituting a dress code.
Wow.
All they need now is for the building to collapse or something.
So glad I'm not working there any more.
