I just got back from a lovely lunch with Former Coworkers Shirley and Jan. We went to Nino's, this little Italian place at the corner of 36th and New Seward. I had a chicken ceasar salad, while the ladies had, respectively, a pepperoni pizza slice and a hero sandwich. I thought the food was very good, but the company was better.
I haven't seen Jan in ages, not since I left the Job of Doom. So it was good to catch up with her. Shirley and I e-mail back and forth quite a bit, but it was nice to get together in person. And she treated, which was very much appreciated.
All in all, it's been a very nice day.
I could use more like these.
