Frustration

So, wrote first bit of Scarlet Age fic last night and thought it was pretty decent. Then, started working on second fic, and it morphed into this strange, post-apocalyptic western. It wasn't bad but I couldn't seem to get it to go anywhere. Very frustrating.

"It never fails..."

It never fails. Whenever I'm at work, near the end of the day, I am overcome by this urge to sit down and write. But, with less than an hour to go, the urge remains unfulfilled. I don't actually write anything, merely stare at the screen, ruminating on what could be. Plots unfurl and characters stalk across the stage of my mind, but nothing ever seems to gel.
