Dead Like Me: Life After Death
Apr. 3rd, 2009 10:41 pmThis evening, while wondering through my local Barnes & Noble, I came across a movie sequel to the series, Dead Like Me.
Set five year after the end of the series, the movie catches up with all the reapers. George has gotten a bit more mature, while the other reapers seem pretty much the same as ever. Things get shaken up when Rube "gets his lights" and is replaced by a new boss, with a very loose attitude toward reaping. Things sort of spiral crazily from there on out.
Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it did a good job of continuing the story of the reapers. There wasn't as much black humor as in the series, but it was still a good watch.
On the Melworks Scale of Movie Love, I'd give it a seven out of ten. Definitely worth watching again.
