Last Night

So, it's my last night at the Job of Doom.
After this weekend, I'm back to working the day shift.
This will be the first time I've been working days as a normal shift in fifteen years.
Yeah, you read that right.
Fifteen years.
That's a hell of a long time not to see a sunrise, or fight my way through morning traffic, or just commisserate with people around the bagel table on Free Bagel Day.
Honestly, I won't know how to act.
But I do know this: I'm glad to be making this change.
