Birthday Blues
Jan. 9th, 2011 09:08 pmToday was my birthday. I started it well enough, writing in my bedroom until about 10:00 this morning, at which point exhaustion hit and I went to sleep. I woke up at 3:00 this afternoon, and lay in bed for a while, not really thinking about the day. Not really thinking about anything.
Eventually, I got up, took a shower and went to the bookshop. There, I was tempted by their video department having a two for one sale, but I resisted my impulses and restricted myself to buying a single book, as a birthday present to myself.
Now, I'm home again, sitting here, typing these words and feeling a bit lackluster.
Birthday blues, I suppose.
