Feb. 17th, 2011 06:00 pmWell, fuck.
I just found out the Borders store up the road from my house will be closing before April. Part of the sacrifices the company has made to adjust their debt.
Honestly, I thought the store was making a profit.
Which means that, in the coming months, there's probably going to be a huge liquidation sale at said store. Hmm.
Of course, afterwards, the only bookstores in town will be the Barnes & Noble in midtown and Title Wave on the west side.
Maybe whoever manages the Borders will buy it and keep it going as an independent? Not very likely, but we live in hope. Don't we?
