Twitfics

So, a while back, to help get the word out re my writing, I succumbed to Twitter. And even though I can't say that it's set my story sales on fire or anything, I have to admit that tweeting is damned addictive.
Lately, though, I've been using it to produce twitfics. Twitfics are like flashfics, but comprised of less than 140 characters.
Last week, the British Science Fiction Association hosted a live tweetlink at a con in the UK. They invited twitterers to submit sci-fi/fantasy tweets to them for a couple of days.
It was a lot of fun to take part in and some of the stuff produced was genuinely intriguing, plus it got me some new followers.
This morning, I did a twitfic that has given me a story idea.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire was one of the most interesting biographies Jane had read in a while.

Now I have the horrible urge to expand on this.

Jonathan Frid, R.I.P.

Jonathan Frid, the actor best known for playing 'Barnabus Collins' in Dark Shadows, passed away on April 13.
How sad.
I remember watching Dark Shadows when I was a kid, mainly because Barnabus Collins was so damned captivating.
