I like comics.
I work in a comic shop. Sadly, we don't sell 'new' comics, the stuff that comes out weekly. So for the new stuff, I have to go to another shop in town where I have a pull. Unfortunately, because of scheduling, I don't get 'new' comics until the week after they come out.
But I'm still getting new comics.
That's something.
So what am I reading these days?
From DC: Astro City, Bodies, Fables, Fairest, Gotham Academy and Multiversity.
From Marvel: Avengers, New Avengers
From Indies: East of West, Lazarus and Velvet.
I also get Atomic-Robo and Empowered when they get released.
It's a nice little grab-bag of books, and, as time goes by, I'm sure I'll get wittled down. Bodies and Fables are coming to an end, Fairest has already ended (BADLY!), and Multiversity is winding down.
It's possible that I might stick a toe in the DCU post-Convergence, but I'm not holding my breath.
As for new books? Well, nothing in the pipeline really leaps out at me. I might give Wellingham's Renaissance a look this summer, but that's about it.
