Dec. 4th, 2015 03:23 amGood Lord. It's December already! When the hell did that happen?
November was blah. Thanksgiving came and went. Worked on Black Friday which wasn't as crazy as some other sales we've had at the store. Ours lasted all weekend and the owner decided to extend part of the sale through December. Not sure why. Maybe he just wants a little extra money to make some much-needed repairs around the place? Not sure. I will say this, our e-bay store has been selling like gangbusters. Hurrah for us!
In other news, it's been fantastically warm here the last two months. Yesterday, it was 73 and overcast. I felt like I was living in Florida. Today, we had a high around 60. Winter is coming, but I'm hoping it won't be as rough as it was last year.
Still writing, although haphazardly. Making some progress on some stuff but its sporadic and a bit disheartening.
I'm having more success with my diet; I switched to high fat, low carb a couple of months ago and have lost about 20 lbs. Now I've hit the plateau, just in time for Christmas.
Watching. Have kept the Netflix but have cut back a lot on what I'm watching. Don't know if I'll keep it as I spend more time watching stuff on YouTube.
Reading. Started the 'Witch City' mysteries and am currently reading 'The Hangman's Daughter.' Also, just finished Caitlin Doughty's "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" which is really good.
Listening. I've cut back a lot on my podcasts. I still check out the BBC every once in a while, but I just can't get into it as much these days. Did enjoy Neil Gaiman's 'The Truth Is a Cave in the Mountain' on Book at Bedtime.
Other stuff. I'm thinking of starting a YouTube channel just because there's no one on the site around my age. I think I could offer an interesting perspective on stuff going on in the world.
And that's pretty much my life right now.
Hopefully I'll update this blog again before the new year.
