So, I'm going to go out today and look at cell phones.
Well, smart phones.
I have never bought a smart phone before. I've always gotten by with pay-as-you-go TracPhones. The phone I've got now has lasted me years, but the battery is less than stellar and I'm thinking I should get a proper cell phone so I don't have to worry about minutes/time etc.
But the cheapskate in me keeps whispering, "Why should you get a phone you're gonna pay $40 a month for when you pay that much for your service every 3 months? Huh? Huh?!?"
That little cheapskate's voice is very persistant and, well, he does make some sense. But I am trying very hard to ignore it, and counter that argument by pointing out that I would probably use a new phone for stuff like making short videos, taking pics, maybe watching YouTube and listening to music.
Maybe.
*sigh*
At the very least, I'm going to go out and LOOK at phones.
On the bright side, I'm only 840 cals in so far today. Woohoo!
UPDATE: 0515PM
It turns out that I really, REALLY hate shopping for phones.
I went to a couple of places and at one place I couldn't even get any customer serive while at the other place they tried to upsale me a $100 a month plan. WTF?
Honestly, I am so disgusted right now with the whole effort.
After the last place I decided to treat myself with a vanilla bean frap from Starbucks. Then I went by the book store and successfully fought the urge to buy Tales From the Loop, The Electric State of The Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Book.
And I have no idea what I'm having for supper tonight.
