Woke up at 7:00 this morning (Ye gods! Seven-o-the-clock on Monday!), because I thought I'd have to testify in court today. Turns out that I didn't have to after all. They won't need me until tomorrow afternoon. Yippee!
But, since I was up, I pulled on some clothes and decided to make use of the time. Walked up the street to the video store to return some movies, then swung by the store and grabbed an apple for breakfast.
The apple, I'm afraid, was a big mistake. I totally forgot to take the antacid pill my doc gave me. Ate most of the apple, caught up on some websites and went back to bed.
Woke up with full on heartburn.
So, lessons learned: (1) Never forget the food pill again! And,(2) never go right to bed after eating!
Oy vey. My throat is still aching.
