Dec. 9th, 2022 12:21 amAfter the attack, the group settled in for an uneasy night's rest. The next morning they continued on their way. The next two days passed without incident and they arrived at a stone cirlce in a clearing, the site of the Lost Tomb. They began to search for an entrance, but had no luck finding it.
On the second day, while searching, Galek and Nathaniel were attacked by a snow-tiger. Nathaniel was killed, but Galek held the beast off until help arrived. Father Bogar and Sigfried buried Nathaniel.
The next day, Alida and Galek discovered a dead Snapdragon. Its body had been torn apart. Everyone agreed it was probably the work of the tiger. It was decided that everyone in the camp should be armed at all times.
On the third day, the expedition met a couple of local woodsmen, Kelton and his son, Fane. They were collecting mushrooms to sell in town, and told the group about a nearby cave. Consulting his scrolls, Master Orla concluded that the cave must be the entrance to the Lost Tomb.
Kelton and Fane left, probably thinking that the group were graverobbers.
Venturing into the cave, the group finds proof that it does lead to the tomb. A runic inscription on the wall identifies the cave as the final resting place of Eseldyr, the Last King of the Bryardi, slain by foul sorcery.

I am genuinely surprised that Nathaniel survived as long as he did. When he and Galek ran into the tiger, I rolled two d20s and his was lower, so the tiger attacked him and killed him in one go.
Kelton and Fane were fun and I kind of hope that we get to see them again. It'll be interesting to see what comes of that. That's two sessions down with most of this group. If they make it through a third, some have the potential to become PCs. We'll have to wait and see, because I'm not touching this game again until Tuesday night.
