(no subject)

Tonight, I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole. I'm not sure how I got there, but I spent about an hour watching videos by a very nice Orthodox Sephardic lady talking about her lifestyle/culture. She had this lovely, calming voice and ended all of her videos with the wish that "if no one has told you today, you are loved and you are enough."

My spooky viewing continues. Last night I watched, "The Trouble with Miss Switch" and tonight I watched "The Real Story of Halloween." Tomorrow, I'm thinking maybe I'll watch Coraline or Beetlejuice. Maybe.

It was a bit chilly today, so I turned on the space heater in the room. It warmed up quite nicely. I hate sleeping in cold rooms.

And tomorrow I'm thinking I should go in and decorate the Store for Halloween. Or, at least take in a box of paperbacks to restock my paperback shelves. But we'll have to see if that happens. I might just linger in bed with my feet propped up.

Things I have done today...

Bought new batteries for my flashlight. After seven years the old batteries finally died. :o

Bought some Powerball tickets. If I win, y'all will probably know before anyone in meatspace.

Went by Dollar Tree and bought some Halloween themed window appliques.

Took some fresh paperbacks into The Store to restock the paperback section. Threw out one, because it was just too warped.

Used the above-mentioned window appliques to decorate The Store for Halloween. I did NOT go overboad this year.

Bought new inserts for both pairs of shoes. I'm hoping these will help with some of my footpain. Did I mention here that my feet are as flat as a duck's? They are. I've delt with plantar fasciitis, off and on, for the last ten years.

Came home to an empty house, where I fed the kitties, cleaned the litter box and have been hanging out upstairs mucking about on the Internet.

Tonight's spooky viewing was the 2003 'Haunted Mansion' starring Eddie Murphy. It was just about as good as the 2023 version, which isn't saying very much. I think it's time to watch 'You Might Be the Killer' again.
