The Saturday before Halloween
Oct. 28th, 2023 11:40 pmToday was a busy day.
We had an event at The Store, which attracted a fair amount of business. It never got crazy, but was pretty study. I had help, because Jorg was at the house setting up for the Hallowedding.
After work, I hightailed it across town to the house. Parking was not a problem. I had to forego a shower, and just change directly into my wedding costume. I went for a kind of Venetian masquerader effect, but I could have passed for a randoom anime character.
The costume was a great sucess. No one recognized me, until I spoke. Between the mask and the wig(!!!), I was completely unrecognizable.
The wedding went off without a hitch, although no one but the bride and groom could hear the officiate or each other. I hung out with a bunch of folks, talking about random stuff until about 11PM at which point I went inside, took a shower and am getting ready for bed.
Because some of us have to get up in the morning and go to work, while others will be lazing around in bed with their significant other.
Altogether though, it was a lovely time and I wish Jorg and Ashley every happiness.
Even if part of me wonders if the marriage will last 6 months. April 28, 2024 will tell, I suppose.
