I started 'Gideon the Ninth' by Tamsyn Muir the other day. The book has a lot of good reviews surrounding it, mostly boiled down to the concept of 'sword lesbians in space!'
I got about four chapters in before I gave up.
The characters weren't interesting, the world didn't feel fully realized to me and I was left with an overwhelming impression of 'meh.'
So, I have abandoned this book and am moving on to somethiing else.
