The Other Bennet Sister

A little while ago I watched the first half of this television miniseries, and did NOT give it very high marks. The acting was good, but the characters were all horrible people and I had not real desire to watch the second half.

Fast forward to a dull Sunday night at home and what do I do? Watch the rest of the miniseries because apparently I am a fucking masochist.

Honestly, I wanted to grab the character of Mary Bennet (played wonderfully by Ella Bruccoleri) by the shoulders and just shake her until she grew a damn backbone! I wanted her to slap her mother and irritating youngest sister and just make a fucking decision about what she wanted!

Mary Bennet was just so incredibly passive about her own life and her own worth that I found myself punching a pillow.

Watching that show wasn't about entertainment or enjoyment, by the time I reached the 8th episode it was a test of fucking endurance!

I enjoy a good period drama but this show? I can honestly say that I hate it. Despite the excellent performances by the actors, the story just made me want to kick people.

Now I feel like I need to go watch something comedic to get the bad taste of it out of my mouth.
