It is hella hot out there today, folks! I just got back from Big Lots and I thought I was going to puke in the store. I'm pretty sure the nausea was caused by the sudden change in temperature. Although the two bottles of water I chugged before leaving the house might have contributed to it as well.
Anyway, things were bought. Toilet paper. Paper towels. Soap. Laundry detergent. No, I don't generally buy food at Big Lots. I had a nasty experience once with some dry goods from one of their stores, so now I'm paranoid.
Thought about going marketing, but decided to come home and unload my purchases and see if I was actually going to puke. So far, so good.
I just came from upstairs where I ate a nectarine. It was delicious. Ripe and juicy.
I had a peach, as well, but it was awful. I literally tore it apart with my hands and there was no juice. The flesh inside was brown and dry. The pit looked . . . wrong. I don't know. All I know is that I tossed it aside and don't think I'll buy any more "fresh" peaches from this particular grocery store.
Where I will be going in 30 minutes to shop for supper.
