So, today is the Winter Solstice.
That probably doesn't mean much to most folks, but folks here in Alaska tend to mark the day.
Why? You ask. Because its the day that we stop losing sunlight and start gaining it back. Not much at first, maybe a few seconds, but by January we'll have noticeably more light.
Of course, it's also be noticeably colder too.
Still, at least it'll be nice to get up in the afternoon and not have it look like o-dark-thirty in the morning.
