So, I've got a week's vacation coming up and I'm checking out the airline sights to see what's available for where.
And the thing that strikes me the most isn't the extraordinary price of airline tickets these days.
No.
What gets me is the extended layovers at various airports.
Flying from Anchorage to Las Vegas used to take a max of six hours a few years back, but now the shortest trip I've discovered takes about a minumum of seven hours. And that's with, like, a two hour layover in Seattle.
Gah!
The more I look at these travel times, the more convinced I become I should just stay home, turn my heat up really high and play some Don Ho on the stereo.
Gah!
