Heh.
I haven't actually been buying this miniseries from DC Comics, and I'm thankful for that. Just like I'm thankful to the folks at
scans_daily for posting chunks of the story, so I could follow it without wasting a lot of money. Today, the final issue of Final Crisis came out and S_D has gone pretty much batshit. At last count, over two posts, I think there were over 500 comments left regarding the finale, the series, and DC Comics in general. The comments run the spectrum from enthusiastic support, to blatant derision and expressions of ennui with DC in general.
Personally, I think Final Crisis was something of a clusterfuck, which is a shame because I generally like Grant Morrison's work. But this? Well, I'm a hardcore DC nerd and even I couldn't keep all the bits straight. Now if they would just wrap up Trinity and take a breather from crossovers and Big Events, DC might actually manage to get some goodwill from the fans.
Maybe.
